Mark Bolchoz, P.E.
President
As founding principal of Bolchoz Marine Advisors, Inc., Mark Bolchoz brings a truly unique perspective to the waterfront project, having spent over 30 years exclusively in the marine industry, working as both consultant and contractor. Prior to founding the consulting firm BMA, Mr. Bolchoz spent eight years working with one of the most well-respected marine contractors in South Florida, managing over $100 million in waterfront projects and gaining a true understanding of the positive impacts of proper project planning and innovative value engineering. Prior to his work with the marine contractor, he spent 12 years working at two outstanding marina consulting firms, providing invaluable experience on hundreds of waterfront development projects along the Atlantic seaboard and the Islands.
Mr. Bolchoz has been involved in virtually every phase of waterfront development, from due diligence and planning, to permitting and design, to bidding and construction. He has experience in all project components including seawalls, dredging, floating dock systems, piers, and utilities. Mr. Bolchoz is a professional engineer in three states, has authored industry technical papers and articles, and has provided expert testimony in the specialized marine industry.
Ross Sanford, P.E.
Associate Engineer
Originally from Jupiter, FL, Ross Sanford received his engineering degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Following his graduation from CUA, Mr. Sanford began his career as a project designer at a civil firm in Charleston, SC, before joining Bolchoz Marine Advisors, Inc. Mr. Sanford’s role at BMA consists of marina and waterfront planning, structural design, and construction administration.
Nick Raines
Project Coordinator
Nick Raines was born in Fort Campbell, KY, and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland. Upon graduation, Mr. Raines was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army and served for eight years, including a combat tour in Afghanistan. Upon completion of his Army career, Mr. Raines worked for a year at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC, and then joined Bolchoz Marine Advisors, Inc., in North Palm Beach, FL. At BMA, his responsibilities include regulatory permitting, and construction administration.
